England footballer's property company to build luxury flats in Leeds

Luxury property firm Hillcrest & Louis Homes was set up by Aston Villa defender Micah Richards in Manchester to focus on high-end developments.
The former Manchester City star, who was last capped by England in 2012, has since opened a Leeds office and completed projects in Moortown and Chapel Allerton.

Hide AdThe firm has now secured planning permission to convert the former Meanwood Working Men's Club site.

The 54 apartments will be built on Stonegate Road, close to Waitrose, along with a gym and communal areas.
The existing social club will be demolished and replaced by a new building to make way for 35 two-bed and 19 one-bed flats.
The four-storey building will also feature underground parking.

Hide AdThe Premier League winner's venture is also involved in developments in Roundhay and Barwick-in-Elmet.
Richards represented Leeds City Boys and spent time with Leeds United's youth teams before moving to Manchester aged 14. His father, Lincoln, runs a Brazilian Soccer Schools franchise in Chapeltown.
