The rate of decline was higher than previously thought after the group revised house prices for September last year u

The average UK home now costs £172,108, around the same level as in January 2006.

Tracking deal for Masternaut

LEEDS-based Masternaut Three X has won a major contract to provide a Europe-wide tracking solution to Currie European.

The contract covers the company's entire fleet of 420 trailers and 80 tractor units.

Currie European is headquartered in Dumfries and specialises in transport, logistics and warehousing.

Masternaut's tracking and vehicle useage information is designed to allow businesses to improve their cost control measures.

The real-time, web-based service will enable Currie European to provide customers with real-time information about their freight.

Steve Walls, business systems director at Currie European, said: "We have immediately implemented some of the Masternaut reporting functions to give us an instant and accurate view of vehicles idling their engines for more than 15 minutes and also to identify trailers that are at standstill."
