On the back of two consecutive away defeats, which again showed United's defensive frailties, Elland Road will be the setting for a reunion with an old foe.
Robbie Savage is now part of the furniture at the Withdean Stadium having signed on loan and he can be sure of a "hearty" welcome tomorrow.
The Seagulls are unbeaten on their travels and this will be a test for United, but one I fully expect them to pass, and hopefully exorcise the defensive gremlins from Wednesday evening.
Score prediction: United 2 Brighton 1.

Micky Adams can expect a warm welcome to Elland Road, however Mr Savage may receive a hotter one!
Brighton have proved stubborn opposition for United in recent times and any victory will have to be earned.
The final pass, cross and shot lacked quality last weekend and an improvement in those areas is required.
Neil Kilkenny needs to be restored to central midfield to instigate our passing game and the back four needs to add some aggression to their defending. Time for patience on and off the field.
Score prediction: United 1 Brighton 1.

This Saturday the Seagulls land at Elland Road.
Last April it was a poor, spoiling, game without a goal, so this Saturday can we improve on that?
We can always hope. Will the Rotherham game have any effect either way? Maybe not as we have plenty of players available to run midfield.
Maybe a confidence-boosting early goal will set us under way from Jermaine Beckford.
So a 1-0 win for me and let's hope we don't have a night game down there in November as it will be a logistical nightmare soon after Southend!
Score prediction: United 1 Brighton 0.

Leeds host Brighton tomorrow and it is a chance to put the disappointing defeat at Peterborough last week and Wednesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy loss at Rotherham behind us.
It is important to go into this game afresh with confidence and attack Brighton from the start. We are in a strong position and must build on that.
Macca has a full-strength squad to choose from and I would expect Neil Kilkenny to return to strengthen midfield.
It's a pity Alan Sheehan pulled up injured at the Don Valley Stadium because I would have liked to see him back in at left-back.
Score prediction: Leeds 3 Brighton 1.

This is always a game I look forward to – due to two mates being in the Brighton end.
The Seagulls always provide hard opposition and in Robbie Savage they have a midfielder who is sure to enjoy his afternoon's banter with the Kop!
I would like to see Lubomir Michalik return to our side. His no-nonsense style is what we need to shore up a defence which has been shaky all season.
After last week's poor performance I expect the lads to show the result was just a blip, and I can see us edging a close game.
Score prediction: Leeds 2 Brighton 1.
