A mixed week for United with Saturday's disappointing display against Huddersfield, followed up by a rampant performance at Northampton.
The undoubted highlight of the week was Jermaine Beckford's superb hat-trick, and with him back to his best, that is a major boost.
Obviously, there were the customary defensive lapses, but a more solid
4-4-2 formation yielded great dividends, and although we lose some of our width without Robinson or the in-form Snodgrass, this may be the way to go tomorrow, against a Jekyll & Hyde Hartlepool outfit.
Prediction: Leeds United 2 Hartlepool 1

An excellent attacking display swept Northampton aside on Monday, Beckford scoring his second superb televised hat-trick of the season.
His partnership with debutant Christie was the highlight of an entertaining match riddled with errors from both teams.
Hartlepool are one of the better offensive teams in this league and with no sign of improvement in the back line a very difficult afternoon awaits.
The fragility of the back line is such that for the first time this season I see a high scoring defeat coming.
Prediction: Leeds United 2 Hartlepool 3

Tomorrow sees Hartlepool making their second appearance of the season at Elland Road and hopefully Jermaine Beckford will be full of confidence again after breaking his short goal drought.
Fabian Delph should also be on a high with his international experience through the week.
The last two encounters here have been entertaining but the fact that the match has been designated as a category A game does not bode well for a good attendance with the credit crunch biting in.
Prediction: Leeds United 3 Hartlepool 1

Hartlepool tomorrow will bring back fond memories of last year when we wiped off the 15 points and achieved zero.
Let's hope Leeds can get an equally rewarding result and pick up three points this time around.
Beckford showed what he was made of midweek with his hat-trick and I am hoping Macca will return to the 4-4-2 formation and keep Beckford and Becchio together up front.
With both teams winning in midweek, confidence will be high in both camps so Leeds need to keep their focus.
Prediction: Leeds United 2 Hartlepool 1

It is about time Leeds deliver a performance in the league like they did in the cup on Monday night.
Our defence is still a worry, which will give Hartlepool confidence that they can get on the scoresheet and they certainly need this as they have only netted six away goals all season.
Hartlepool appear to be strong at the back on their travels so I expect them to set up defensively.
The splendid hat-trick Jermaine Beckford scored could mean he goes on a scoring run again. With Scunthorpe playing Leicester we have to ensure we capitalise and pick up a crucial three points.
Prediction: Leeds 3 Hartlepool 1
