Cafe prices unpalatable

I spent an hour or two at the new Leeds Museum today. Quite impressive, but in an establishment predominantly designed for children, I was more than a little horrified when visiting the café.
We bought a cup of coffee, tea for one and a couple of scones. Total cost – £7.15. How ordinary families can afford these rip-off prices escapes me. Admittedly, the cafe was fresh and new (although the cleanliness of the table top left something to be desired) and the scones were fresh and tasted excellent – but on the way back to the bus, we passed Yates Bar and saw that we could have had a full meal for two for less than seven pounds.
Come on Leeds City Council – bring down the prices to a level that ordinary folk can afford.
