RE your article of July 25 which featured my niece, whose life was miraculously saved during childbirth, thanks to blood transfusions and the dedicated surgeons and nursing staff at LGI.
I was surprised to read, in the same article about a chef who seemed to insinuate that only people who eat red meat have healthy blood, thus, suitable to be blood donors.
Is this the case? I have no idea. I suspect he just jumped on the band wagon to promote his restaurant, a bit of free advertising, so to speak.
