Driver in fatal Leeds crash released

THE DRIVER of a minibus involved in a fatal accident has been released by police.
The 56-year-old Batley man was arrested by police after the horrific accident in Leeds on Monday just after 4pm.
The 32-year-old pedestrian, from Wakefield, who has still not been named by police, was trapped between the minibus and a shop after the vehicle went on to the pavement on Merrion Street.
She was taken to hospital but died later, West Yorkshire Police said.
The driver of the white Mercedes 24-seater minibus was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but was released by police on bail pending further enquiries.
