One side of the A1 has been closed in West Yorkshire following a collision.

Two HGVs are reported to have collided on the northbound carriageway between the junction with A639 Wrangbrook Lane and the A1(M).

There are also reports of a diesel spillage from the crash.

The road was shut a short time ago and diversions are now being put in place.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the stretch of road if possible with queues of traffic now building.
