RESURGENT East Leeds have an Ideal opportunity to climb the Fraser Eagle National Conference Division Two table this weekend.
Newly-relegated Easts thrashed Waterhead last week to record only their second win of the campaign and travel to rock-bottom Ideal Isberg tomorrow.

Spokesman Malcolm Wait said: "We can do ourselves a big favour if we win, because there's four team
s on the same points as us and they've all got what you might say are tougher games."

Easts will give a debut to Yorkshire under-18s forward Steve Sunderland.

Joe Sheldrake (shoulder) is on the casualty list and Johnny Carter is unavailable, along with Lee Fisher, who is playing for Yorkshire against South Africa at Tetley's Stadium, Dewsbury, on Sunday.

Aussie Dustin Stuart, who made his debut on the wing last week, is likely to replace Carter at half-back.

Oulton Raiders travel to Wigan St Patricks tomorrow bidding for a fourth straight Premier Division win.

Danny Hardy, Mick Coyle, Mark Stubley and Carlos Sanchez are all back in contention, but Craig Duda (work commitments) and Andy Falkingham (shoulder injury) drop out from the side which beat Thatto Heath last week and knee injury victims Andy Williamson, Kev Dickens and Neil Olbison all remain on the casualty list.

Thornhill Trojans president John Redgwick held a players' meeting yesterday in a bid to raise morale at the Premier Division's bottom side, who host Hull Dockers tomorrow.

Trojans will be without full-back James Craven (on Yorkshire duty) and skipper Matty Roberts (stomach muscle injury).

Gifted young scrum-half Scott Green is due to undergo a brain scan after suffering dizzy spells and has been told to take a break from rugby.

Stanningley will face a tough test at home to second-placed Bradford Dudley Hill in Division One tomorrow.

The return of utility-player Martin Wood from RAF duty and prop Andy Wormald – after suspension – will give Stanningley a major lift, but hooker Chris Birchall is absent due to work commitments.
