Stalwart Stockwell dies

The funeral will take place on Friday of former Batley and Bramley coach David Stockwell, who has died suddenly, aged 65.
Stockwell, who was originally from Leeds, began his rugby career in union with Bramley Old Boys, before switching codes to join Halifax.
A centre or stand-off, he signed for Bradford Northern in 1964 and remained at the club for 13 years, making a total of 321 appearances, including one at Wembley in the 1973 Challenge Cup final.
After leaving Odsal, he had a spell as player-coach at Batley, before injury forced him to hang up his boots.
He ended his career in the professional game as coach of Bramley. Stockwell was also a keen cricketer and played several other sports, including snooker.
His funeral will be held at St Barnabas' Church in Weeton on Friday, at 2pm.
