McClennan: There's no pressure on us

Defiant boss Brian McClennan insists Leeds Rhinos are keeping cool as the fight for top spot in engage Super League hots up.
Rhinos led the table by six points less than a month ago, but are now just two clear of St Helens and three ahead of Les Catalans Dragons going into tonight's clash with fourth- placed Wigan Warriors at JJB Stadium.
Two recent defeats for Leeds, coupled with Saints' nine-game winning run in Super League, have also seen Rhinos' once-massive points difference advantage cut to just 32.
That means a loss at Wigan tonight and a big win for Saints at Harlequins tomorrow could see Rhinos knocked off their perch, but McClennan – who is boosted by the return of six players from England duty – insisted his team aren't under pressure.
Said the coach: "We have just got to concentrate on our own game. If we did feel that pressure we wouldn't have done what we did last week (when Rhinos fielded an inexperienced team against Castleford).
"We aren't looking at the league table, what we are concentrating on is lifting the standards of our own game.
"We felt we made significant improvements in parts of our game against St Helens two weeks ago and we want to build on that in the Wigan game, then the Huddersfield and Catalans games after that.
"We are just going to work on our game, piece that together and make sure it's really strong.
"We are concentrating on that, not the league leadership or rivalries with other clubs. It's about getting our own ship in order."
Wigan are one of the four teams to have beaten Leeds in Super League this year, following a 14-10 triumph at Headingley Carnegie three months ago.
Brian Noble's side have been inconsistent this season, but McClennan insisted: "So have we, not every club is going to stay consistent all year.
"We are looking forward to this game. It's a good challenge and we know we're going to have to play well.
"We know Wigan will be up there throwing punches come the end of the year, they are Premiership contenders.
"We are one-apiece this season, but the past is the past and what's gone on before doesn't really count.
"We have got to make sure we go there and put in a good performance, that's what we are concentrating on."
England players Keith Senior, Danny McGuire, Rob Burrow, Jamie Peacock, Gareth Ellis and Kevin Sinfield all return to Rhinos' squad, with Ben Jones-Bishop, Michael Haley, Ben Kaye and Joe Chandler dropping out.
Carl Ablett, pictured above, is in contention after recovering from an ankle injury suffered against St Helens, but Simon Worrall has joined the casualty list with a damaged shoulder and Jordan Tansey remains sidelined with a similar problem.
Former Rhinos full-back Richard Mathers is back in contention for Wigan after injury, along with Michael McIlorum and Paul Prescott.
Eamon O'Carroll drops out from the side which beat Harlequins seven days ago.
