LEEDS KNIGHTS assistant coach Davey Lawrence has been appointed technical director of the governing body’s Netminder Development Programme.

The 38-year-old (pictured) was originally a product of the Sheffield junior system and was back-up goalie at Sheffield Steelers between 2003-08 before spending playing for Telford Tigers and Basingstoke Bison in the EPL.

After a few years out of the game, Lawrence returned to help oversee the netminder coaching at Leeds Junior Knights in 2020.
