Terrorising the free people of Middle Earth doesn't leave much time for getting a short back and sides.
So when one unkempt Orc got the chance to swap Mordor for the streets of Leeds, naturally his first thought was to stop by the nearest salon to spruce up his locks.

The Lord of the Rings character was in Leeds to help promote the spectacular new exhibition of arms and armour from the blockbusting movies at the Royal Armouries museum.

After stopping at Toni and Guy on King Edward Street, it was off on to Briggate for the hideous creature, to mix with some bemused Leeds shoppers.

A museum spokesman said: "The Royal Armouries is showcasing weapons and armour from some of the biggest Hollywood films of recent years including The Lord of the Rings and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion,

The Witch and The Wardrobe. The free exhibition runs until November 16 and it will be the only opportunity for the public to see these exquisite items in the UK."
