Hull City boss Phil Brown, has been rewarded for his side's superb start to the new season with the prestigious Barclays Manager of the Month award for September.
The promoted Tigers were unbeaten in their three games during the month and scored memorable victories on their travels at Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Hull also held Everton to a draw at the KC Stadium and have since continued their remarkable beginning to top-flight life by beating Tottenham to move up to third in the table.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa winger Ashley Young has been named Player of the Month.

The 23-year-old has been in excellent form and scored in his side's victories over Tottenham and Sunderland as well as setting up two other goals.

It is the second time he has won the award after collecting the prize in April this year.
