I have supported Utd for 55 years. Now live in the Lake district, surrounded by Carlisle fans and Man U hangers on. just keep feeling the tears of joy welling up inside. Good luck lads, now go finish the job in style at Wembley. No team or set of supporters deserve it more.

****

Absolute fantastic for the lads to win last night at Carlisle, this Leeds team will go down in history if we win at Wembley and go up back to the Championship. For once the Leeds fans had smiles on our faces after all the upset we have had this season with the -15 points at the start of the season. The fans of Leeds United are the best in the world and will always March on together whether we have our ups and downs.
Leeds Leeds Leeds.

That was the best football leeds have played since the premier league, they were snapping in every tackle and looked cool on the ball . some of there 1 touch football was brilliant and you cant defend against that. Thank you boys for making us proud. P.s. big up to "greg 4 lufc" who put out the "rally cry", inspirational mate!

League one chairmen across the land, smiled as they belived they had the upper hand.
But Leeds won to fight another day over the hills and far away
The ultimate prize is here to grasp, but we cannot gone on about success from past.
Go forward 11 knights of Leeds, march on together and make your mark, shake the foundations of those whom would conspire against you and remember those who hand unjust penalties and conspire against you will be watching and you who were unjustly punished will RISE again and savour your success looking down from high on the conspiritors.
Andre 'Proctor, Scarborough

Good luck Leeds.

I do feel we've lost it and will be playing in Division one again next season. Hopefully I'm wrong but we were beaten by a better team who could hold the ball and play from the back. why did we start with Johnson at left back when he's so important in midfield and we have players who can play there. It unbalanced the team.

While in the mood for moaning why does he play Kandol (donkey) when all he does is shoot from anywhere without any idea when a pass would be a better option. I only hope that if Beckford isn't fit he doesn't play him.

We must also attack the box from midfield in support, the gap between our front players and the midfield was to great.

Finally, Yeovil, Bristol Rovers, Brighton and all book us in for next season when we can start on a level playing field and prove we can go up with-out being in the play off's.

Yesterday I visited a medium and she sorted out my problems very swiftly and said could she help with anything else, so I asked about Thursday night's game with Carlisle. She said it was too close to call so I then asked about the Premiership and she was able to confirm that was imminent although the words Blue Square also appeared
Good luck to Carlisle

****

Come on Leeds! 1-2 down but it's only half-time. Be sharper, be faster, show your class on Thursday and let's go to Wembley and up to the Championship!
Ade (Scotland)

I thought we were out thought and outfought. Carlisle marked much tighter, they got five or six men in our box when they broke, Carlisle always looked as though they would score going forward. In contrast we rarely had more than two men in their penalty area when in open play, even when on the attack.

Carlisle looked fitter and faster, they had a plan and terrific energy, always got nine men behind the ball when the ball was lost. I am sorry to say, but they looked a real together TEAM. Individually I don't think Carlisle had better players in terms of personal skill, quite the contrary, but as a tight mobile unit they were superb. When you consider their team performing like they did, perhaps much of the credit has to go to their manager, he has put out a team to do a job and how well they did it. I don't think we can live with that on Thursday, so it will be division 1 again next season. Carlisle have laid down a yardstick for us to follow next year, but I don't know if Gary Mac, is the man to have this team raise their team ethic and workrate to what we saw from Carlisle last night.

For Leeds I thought our leftback, Johnson, was our best player and his absence from attack cost us dear. Our worst player by a mile was Frazer Richardson, not bad going forward, but defensively and against a good team he was a liability.

I have watched Leeds and football for a lot of years, but last night I learned you don't have to have a team full of stars, just be tight, fit, fast and you will beat the stars who are not as well drilled.
Steve from Woodlesford.

Carlisle will get 2 or 3 on Thurs , Leeds will struggle against a better team.

****

Based on Monday nights performance, can't see us scoring enough goals to over come first leg deficit and would expect Carlisle to score on home ground especially as we need to score so expect 4-4-2 formation for Leeds. Frankly, we're not good enough to progress, we lack quality of passing and crossing and the defending was woeful at times, hugh spaces for Carlisle to exploit. With Beckford up front, seem to resort to hoofing the ball up the pitch hoping fortune favours with knock downs. Midfield made up of grafters with little creativity for telling pass and/or ability to take on opposition defence. Seb Carole should be given a chance on Thursday but I suspect Gary will stick with same formation. Beckford needs the right quality of service, if he gets it he or Freedman will do the business.

I think, like Nottingham Forest found out in League One, the Leeds team are struggling to cope with the expectation and the pressure it places on the players. The play-offs just make it even more so, which plays into the opposition's hands. Our defence looked very nervous on Monday night. Carlisle had the fortune to be coming to Elland Road for the first leg as the 'underdogs' knowing all the pressure was on the Leeds players in front of a packed stadium. They played to this and it paid off almost perfectly for them with the lone striker, five in midfield then hitting us on the break. They were the better team on the evening and deserved the result, good luck to them. Their goalkeeper had a blinder though. It might have been a different story if the first leg had been at Brunton Park but we'll never know.

I hope for a good outcome on Thursday but my head says it's not going to happen. I think, like Nottingham Forest, the only realistic way out of League One for Leeds will be from automatic promotion. Hopefully, starting without a points deduction next season we'll be able to do just that but we need some more quality, creativity, pace and genuine width in midfield to provide good service to the forwards.

The job isn't done yet, but what a fabulous performance this was. Up here in Norway we celebrated standing on tables and partying till early this morning. The strength this team shows is fantastic. Let's take it all into the final game of what has been an outstanding performance. This is what it all comes down to. One game and eleven brave, and strong WHITES. Let's show the rest how to get things done the proper way. Bring it on.

What a fantastic season it's been and now thanks to two sweet strikes of Jonny Howson's left boot, it's down to 90 minutes of make or break football.
After winning in such dramatic style in the semi final, you could say it's destiny that we'll be victorious at Wembley and bounce straight back, but the reality is we've still one big hurdle to jump. Whatever happens, we can be proud of the lads' efforts over the whole season, especially with the amount of problems they've had to overcome. The Carlisle victory and post match celebrations will live long in the memory of every one of the 1,600 United fans in attendance, and win, lose or draw at Wembley, I can safely say we'll still be there supporting them ever more.

Wow what a night. I was at Elland Road on Monday and could not believe what I was watching, it is not easy being a Leeds fan but nights like Thursday make up for it all. Well done Gary and the team and lets show the football league next Sunday how much minus 15 means to us. MOT.

After 95 minutes of Monday's game like a lot of fans I feared the worst and the air was blue but after 96 minutes and the 92 at Carlisle what a transformation. The lads played well, created plenty of chances, and looked solid all around the park……………….now lets go on and finish the job next week at Wembley and get back to where we belong "The Premiership"…….MARCHING ON TOGETHER

Congratulations lads! Well done the best team won on the night and in my view there is only one team that deserves to be promoted this year and that is the mighty Leeds United. Oh wow! In a season where it seems the (football) world is against us, we've pulled another one out of the bag. I'm amazed by your resilience in a season of uncertainty, injustice and change.
Lads it's been kind of you to orchestrate a trip to Wembley with about as much drama as a fella can stomach without bursting an ulcer. One last request-finish it in style!

Well done lads, but stick at it - the job's only half done.

Only a swift return to the Championship will politely stick two fingers up to the establisment which has so unjustly penalised the club.

Come on Leeds!

One final push and were there...three games away from glory nearly 40,000 at ER tonight (including me!) millions more watching on television..the tradition that this club has, the loyal following of the fans and the roller coaster ride that being a Leeds fan entails, it is a testament to the players and management that we have reached the play offs, after the unprecedented -15 points deduction for political reasons, been following LUFC for nearly 50 years, there is NO other club in the world like this one, once a white always a white.

No matter what a tremendous effort by everyone
