Its a joke, surely West Yorkshire Police have dealt with hundreds of Leeds united games with limited or no trouble or concern, when in the Premiership the majority of kick offs were 3 o clock Saturday or indeed Sunday. The likes of Liverpool,Arsenal,Chelsea etc have been to elland road where 40,000 have watched, the likes of Carlisle,Doncaster,Huddersfield are not in the same category as these clubs with all due respect and surely do not pose a threat of any great magnitude. It can ruin or even stop loyal fans travelling because of the logistical nightmare ahead of them to get to Leeds or the away fixture if the kick off is brought forward.I appreciate it is done so to reduce the chance of organised trouble but come on it will happen regardless if the individuals want it too.So the Police need to leave the kick off times alone and earn their keep!!!

Cheers,

Matt.

Why can't the police do what they are paid to do - is it really such a challenge to police a crowd against a club like Carlisle at 3pm on a Saturday? Their priority seems to be to cover themselves, if there is trouble they can say "told you so" and if nothing happens they can point to a smooth police operation. In the meantime 30,000 mainly law-abiding fans pay the price by having a special day out ruined by disruptive timing. West Yorkshire Constabulary are giving into that minority and that is weak policing, not a sign of strength.

It seems the objective of these moves is to reduce the size of the crowd as much as possible by marginalising the the supporters who travel the furthest to matches.(usually the away supporters). I have arranged my holiday to avoid missing this match but as I arrive back in Manchester airport at 10.00am Saturday morning I now have no chance of getting to the match on time. After the Doncaster fiasco this adds insult to injury. So much for forward planning.

As usual its the real supporters that suffer.

Why should it be any different from leagues above - we had larger numbers of visiting fans. If the police can deal with visiting Man Utd fans and have a 3 o'clock kick-off why can't they manage a few Carlisle fans?

Get back to the proper kick off times.
